MR Cisternography
MR cisternography is an MRI technique used to visualize the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and evaluate the subarachnoid cisterns, particularly for detecting CSF leaks or fistulas. It's an alternative to CT cisternography, offering a higher sensitivity for detecting CSF fistulas.
An MRI scan may be used to help detect a CSF leak inside the brain. Using it with gadolinium, a contrast agent, helps to highlight irregularities in the brain and locate the source of a CSF leak.
