MRI Lumbar Spine (L Spine) is a non-invasive imaging test used to obtain detailed images of the lower portion of the spine, including vertebrae, intervertebral discs, spinal cord, nerves, and surrounding soft tissues. It is commonly recommended to diagnose slipped discs, disc bulges, nerve compression, spinal stenosis, infections, tumors, and degenerative spine disorders. MRI provides excellent soft tissue contrast without radiation exposure, making it ideal for evaluating chronic back pain, sciatica, numbness, or weakness in the legs. Contrast may be used in selected cases to assess infection, tumors, or post-surgical changes.
