Dengue (IgG, IgM) Rapid

Dengue Fever Rapid IgG/IgM is an immunochromatographic assay designed for the qualitative detection and differentiation of specific IgM and IgG antibodies to dengue virus in human serum or plasma. It is intended to be used as in vitro diagnostic of dengue fever.

Positive IgM and IgG tests for dengue antibodies detected in an initial blood sample mean that it is likely that the person became infected with dengue virus within recent weeks. IgM antibody tests can be positive if a person has been infected with a similar virus, such as chikungunya (called cross-reaction).

It is a quick test that aids in the diagnosis of dengue infection caused by dengue virus. The test detects NS1 antigen, IgG and IgM antibodies from whole Blood, serum or plasma. Dengue spreads due to bite of infected aedes aegypti mosquito.
