A positive NS1 test result is indicative of a dengue virus infection. A negative NS1 test result does not rule out infection. People with negative NS1 and negative or unavailable RT-PCR test results should be tested for the presence of dengue IgM antibodies to determine possible recent dengue exposure.

The normal range of dengue NS1 Antigen Test is 0.5-5 ng/mL. The results are either positive or negative. The positive results indicate the virus is present. However, additional tests may require to confirm the diagnosis (depending on your condition).
