What is the acceptable range for HbA1c? For people without diabetes, the haemoglobin A1c normal range lies between 4% and 5.5%. Anything value above 5.7% and below 6.4% is considered to be the pre-diabetic stage and with a higher chance of developing diabetes. An HbA1c level of 6.5% or higher indicates diabetes.
